Catalysis and Chemical Engineering

In the refining industry, catalysts are used to convert hefty oil into beneficial, distillable productions. They can be regenerated and used with a wide range of feedstock to bring bettered performance to refineries around the world.

Catalysts may be gases, liquids, or solids. In homogeneous catalysis, the catalyst is molecularly dispelled in the same phase (generally gaseous or liquid) as the reactants.
